Why build a bowling alley in your basement? Because you can. It's easy and relatively inexpensive. The hardest part of the whole project could simply be finding the ideal location in your home to build such an installation.

The ideal choice of equipment for such a home bowling alley would generally be something from the 'small ball' variations of the game. IE "Candlepin" or "Duckpin" which are generally played in the Eastern Regions of the United States.

The purpose of this site is to inspire others to try such a project and to promote knowledge of the sport of Candlepin that I enjoy so much.
